The 12th edition of the Green Product Award attracted over 1500 applications from 45 countries, highlighting the global drive for eco-conscious solutions. In cooperation with the IKEA Stiftung, the Green Product Award evaluates concepts by young designers and supports their further development.Following a thorough review process evaluating design, innovation, and sustainability, WOODMER® Seal emerged as a finalist and ultimately, the winner in the Packaging category.
WOODMER® Seal represents a true leap forward in sustainable packaging. This unique fibre-based heat seal coating, derived from renewable wood biomass, offers a compellingly greener alternative to conventional plastic coatings. By utilizing this innovative solution, packaging manufacturers can achieve an impressive reduction in emissions.
