Ecohelix is a finalist at Sustainable Packaging Awards

Ecohelix has been selected as a finalist for Packaging Europe’s prestigious Sustainability Awards in the Renewable Materials (pre-commercial) category. We sent our WOODMER® Seal heat seal coating solution to the competition and are in the finals with other substantially excellent packaging sector innovations. Our forest-derived heat seal coating solution enables completely fibre-based packaging, origins from certified Nordic forests and pulp industry side streams and designed to provide relevant barrier properties with excellent sustainability.

The Packaging Europe Sustainability Awards are widely recognized as the most prestigious and influential global competition for sustainability in packaging. The awards highlight crucial innovations and initiatives across the entire packaging value chain, driving the adoption of best practices and cutting-edge technologies. This rigorous, independently judged awards program plays a vital role in accelerating progress towards a more circular and environmentally responsible packaging sector. Other finalists are prestigious companies, such as Coveris, Sonoc, DS Smith, Henkel, Procter&Gabmle, Xampla, Mondi, Koehler Paper, Blue Ocean Closuers, Mondelez, UPM.

In the Renewable Materials pre-commercial category there are four other finalists, We are competing with WOODMER® Seal Renewables (pre-commercial) category together with four other finalists, who are HUID (fibrous packaging material), Shenzen JF Bio Products (pressure-sensitive hot melt adhesive), Tampere University of Applied Sciences (coffee-based biopolymer inks) and NantBioRenewables (compostable protein tray).

This recognition is proof of our team’s dedication and hard work in developing innovative, sustainable solutions for the packaging industry. We’re incredibly proud to be at the forefront of developing more fibre-based solutions for the packaging sector.
